You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete everything anytime.
We never sell or rent your data.

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why it is used, and what rights you have.

1- Data Controller

The data controller for all personal data collected on Hello Self is the author of the site:

Name: Alice

E-mail: contact@hello-self.fr

2- Data We Collect

When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect only:

  • Your e-mail address (required)
  • Your first name or display name (optional, if provided)

If you simply browse the site without subscribing to the newsletter, no personal data is collected.

Your data is used solely to:

  • send you the free newsletter in the language(s) of your choice (French and/or English),
  • allow you to manage your account and newsletter subscription (registration, updating your details, unsubscribing).

The legal basis for this processing is your consent.

4- Data Recipients

Your data is hosted and processed by Ghost Foundation, the platform that powers both the website and the newsletter service:

Ghost Foundation

Non-profit organization

160 Robinson Road

#14-04 SBF Center

Singapore 068914

https://ghost.org/

support@ghost.org

You can view Ghost’s full Privacy Policy here : https://ghost.org/dpa/

Your data is never sold or rented to third parties.

5- Data Retention

Account-related data (e-mail address and, where provided, first or display name) is retained for as long as your account remains active.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link included at the bottom of each e-mail or via your account (accessible through the button at the top-right corner of the site).

Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not automatically delete your account: account-related data will continue to be stored until you request its deletion.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by e-mailing contact@hello-self.fr.

6- Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data (including HTTPS connections, secure passwords, and restricted access to the site’s administration area). The Ghost platform also applies its own security measures.

7- Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your data,
  • rectify inaccurate data,
  • request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”),
  • obtain portability of your data,
  • restrict or object to the processing of your data.

You may exercise these rights at any time by e-mailing contact@hello-self.fr.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority CNIL (cnil.fr).

8- Cookies and Local Storage

This website only uses the technical cookies necessary for the Ghost platform to function.

It also uses the browser’s local storage (localStorage) to remember your language preferences (French / English). These data remain on your device and are never transmitted to any third party.

9- Changes

This policy may be updated at any time to reflect legal or technical developments. The version displayed on this page is the one currently in force.
